Daniel R. Grossi, 70, of Moundsville, West Virginia, has been sentenced to 77 months in prison for trafficking fentanyl and methamphetamine.

Court documents and statements revealed that Grossi was involved in selling fentanyl and methamphetamine in Marshall County. The investigation indicated that he received substantial quantities of cocaine, fentanyl, heroin, and methamphetamine through the mail.

Following his prison term, Grossi will be subject to three years of supervised release.

Assistant U.S. Attorney Clayton Reid prosecuted the case on behalf of the government. The investigation was conducted by the Marshall County Drug Task Force, a HIDTA-funded initiative, along with the U.S. Postal Inspection Service.

U.S. District Judge John Preston Bailey presided over the case.
