David Crocker, a 25-year-old resident of Washington, D.C., has pleaded guilty to multiple charges related to armed robberies and firearms violations. This was disclosed by U.S. Attorney Edward R. Martin, Jr., along with United States Park Police Chief Jessica M. E. Taylor and Metropolitan Police Department Chief Pamela Smith.

Crocker entered his guilty pleas in the Superior Court of the District of Columbia to two counts of armed robbery and one count of unlawful possession of a firearm. Additionally, Crocker admitted to unlawfully possessing a silver and black pistol on November 10, 2023. He is scheduled to be sentenced on June 4, 2025, by Judge Andrea Hertzfeld, and as part of his sentencing, he must register as a gun offender.

According to evidence presented by the government, Crocker committed two armed robberies on December 18, 2023, near Anacostia Park. In the first incident, Crocker, wielding a black and silver pistol, robbed an individual at gunpoint on the 2200 block of Fairlawn Avenue, SE, taking the victim's phone, keys, and wallet while also coercing the victim to reveal PINs for their Cash App account and credit cards.

On the same day, Crocker carried out another robbery on the Anacostia Railroad Bridge, using the same pistol. He stole a bicycle, cell phone, keys, and wallet from the victim and demanded the Cash App account and credit card PINs once more. Shortly after the second robbery, United States Park Police officers apprehended Crocker and retrieved the stolen items and the handgun from him.

The case was jointly investigated by the United States Park Police and the Metropolitan Police Department and is being prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorney Kraig Ahalt for the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of Columbia.
