A McKees Rocks resident has pleaded guilty to a federal charge related to child exploitation, according to an announcement by Acting United States Attorney Troy Rivetti. Brandon Jennings, aged 38, admitted guilt before Senior United States District Judge Joy Flowers Conti on February 18, 2025. The charge involves possession of material depicting the sexual exploitation of minors.
During the court proceedings, it was revealed that Jennings had in his possession 926 images and 803 videos showing the sexual exploitation of minors between March and July 2021. Some of these materials involved prepubescent children.
Judge Flowers Conti has set the sentencing date for June 25, 2025. The law stipulates a maximum penalty of up to 20 years in prison and a fine of up to $250,000. However, the actual sentence will depend on the severity of the offense and any prior criminal history Jennings may have.
Assistant United States Attorney V. Joseph Sonson is handling the prosecution for this case. The investigation leading to Jennings' prosecution was conducted by the Federal Bureau of Investigation and Allegheny County Police Department.
This case is part of Project Safe Childhood, an initiative launched by the Department of Justice in May 2006 aimed at combating child sexual exploitation and abuse. The project involves collaboration among federal, state, and local resources to prosecute offenders and rescue victims.
