Carl Lee Robert Price, a 37-year-old resident of Walhalla, South Carolina, has been sentenced to 20 years in federal prison for possessing child sexual abuse material. Evidence presented during the change of plea hearing revealed that Price had sent explicit images of a child to a minor residing in Missouri. He subsequently traveled to Missouri, met with the minor, and brought them back to his home in Walhalla.

An interstate search conducted by federal and state law enforcement led authorities to Price's property where they located the minor. Upon seizing Price's electronic devices, investigators discovered 265 images and 141 videos depicting child sexual abuse material. Some content involved adults abusing children as young as infants and toddlers.

United States District Judge Jacquelyn D. Austin delivered the sentence, which includes 20 years of imprisonment followed by a lifetime of court-ordered supervision. It is noted that there is no parole available within the federal system.

The investigation was carried out by the FBI Columbia Field Office in conjunction with the Oconee County Sheriff’s Office. Assistant United States Attorney Bill Watkins was responsible for prosecuting the case.
