Boston Heil, a 25-year-old from Jackson, Wyoming, was sentenced to seven days in jail with credit for two days already served. He was also fined $980 and placed on two years of unsupervised probation. Heil pleaded guilty to charges including speeding and operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol in Grand Teton National Park. Additionally, he refused to provide a breath test and is prohibited from driving on federal lands for one year. Assistant U.S. Attorney Ariel Calmes prosecuted the case, while U.S. Magistrate Judge Stephanie A. Hambrick imposed the sentence on February 5, 2025.
Heather Kathline Harker, aged 33 from Torrington, Wyoming, received a 21-month federal prison sentence followed by three years of supervised release for methamphetamine distribution. The Wyoming Division of Criminal Investigation conducted controlled purchases resulting in over 132 grams of methamphetamine being seized. Harker entered custody on September 13, 2024, was indicted five days later, and pleaded guilty on November 21, 2024. U.S. District Court Judge Kelly H. Rankin sentenced her on February 5 in Casper.
Reginald Troy Perry, aged 52 with no permanent residence, was sentenced to 18 months in federal prison with three years of supervised release for being a felon in possession of a firearm. On June 1, 2024, Sweetwater County Sheriff's Office found him with a handgun during a traffic stop involving a stolen U-Haul truck. Perry pleaded guilty after his indictment on July 18, 2024. The sentence was imposed by Judge Kelly H. Rankin on February 4 in Cheyenne.
Jesse Alexander Mostaert from Casper received a sentence of nearly four years in federal prison for possessing firearms and ammunition as an unlawful user of controlled substances and as a felon. Mostaert attempted to evade arrest while armed with drugs including methamphetamine and fentanyl during an encounter with police on February 8, 2024. He pleaded guilty following his indictment on May 16 that year.
Several individuals were sentenced for illegal reentry into the United States:
- Edgar Cruz-Miguel from Guatemala will be deported after serving time for illegal reentry following his arrest by Teton County Sheriff’s Office.
- Fernando Coeto-Arellano from Mexico will also be deported after serving time following his arrest.
- Luis Lopez-Romero from Mexico faced similar charges after an arrest by Jackson Police Department.
- Juan Torres-Flores from Mexico City will be deported after being arrested for DUI.
- Jesus Cervantes-Garcia from San Simeon faced charges related to contempt of court before his deportation order.
