An Oklahoma City man has been sentenced to federal prison for sexually abusing a child and recording the abuse on video. Jeremy Lee Peterson, 44, received the statutory maximum sentence of 360 months in federal prison and a life term of supervised release.
Springfield, Ill. – Walter Geovanni Arteta-Gonzalez, 33, was sentenced to 18 months imprisonment on July 10, 2024, for possession of a firearm by a prohibited person and illegal reentry after removal. Santos Fernando Zepeda-Arteta, 21, received a sentence of 14 months' imprisonment on July 11, 2024, for possession of a firearm by a prohibited person. Both men are originally from Honduras.

WASHINGTON – Duron Hudson, 23, of Washington, D.C., was sentenced today to 102 months in prison for involuntary manslaughter while armed in connection with the killing of a homeless man in Northwest D.C. in November 2019. The sentence was announced by U.S. Attorney Matthew M. Graves and Chief Pamela Smith of the Metropolitan Police Department (MPD).
Earlier today, at the federal courthouse in Central Islip, Edwin Amaya-Sanchez, also known as “Strong,” a member of the Guanacos Lil Cycos Salvatruchas clique of La Mara Salvatrucha (MS-13), was sentenced by United States District Court Judge Gary R. Brown to 292 months’ imprisonment. Amaya-Sanchez pleaded guilty in April 2018 to firearms-related murder charges in connection with his participation in the July 14, 2014 murder of Jose Lainez-Murcia, who was shot and killed while sitting in a car outside his home in Brentwood.

SAN FRANCISCO – Geoffrey Palermo, a former hospitality executive who later operated several auto repair shops in the Bay Area, was sentenced to 65 months in prison following his conviction on wire fraud, failing to pay taxes, and other charges. The announcement was made by First Assistant United States Attorney Patrick Robbins, FBI Special Agent in Charge Robert K. Martin Anthony Martinez, Jr., 32, of Cheyenne, Wyoming, was sentenced to 77 months in federal prison for possession with intent to distribute fentanyl. U.S. District Court Judge Alan B. Johnson imposed the sentence on July 9. David Julian Mendoza Gonzalez, 26, had an initial appearance before a federal judge in the District of Colorado. He is charged in the Northern District of Oklahoma for drug conspiracy and maintaining a drug-involved premises.

MADISON, WIS. – Timothy M. O’Shea, United States Attorney for the Western District of Wisconsin, announced that Sarah Doherty, 35, of Stephenville, Texas, was sentenced yesterday by U.S. District Judge William M. Conley to five years in federal prison for wire fraud and tax evasion. Doherty pleaded guilty to these charges on April 9, 2024. As part of her sentence, Doherty was ordered to pay $1,025,064.74 in restitution to Victim-1.
Timothy M. O’Shea, United States Attorney for the Western District of Wisconsin, announced that Timothy M. Cannon, 36, from La Crosse, Wisconsin, was sentenced to six years in federal prison for distributing 40 grams or more of fentanyl. Cannon pled guilty to this charge on March 21, 2024.
