MADISON, WIS. – Timothy M. O’Shea, United States Attorney for the Western District of Wisconsin, announced the unsealing of an indictment charging Angelica Mendoza Rubio, 48, a citizen of Mexico, with conspiring to launder proceeds of wire fraud. The indictment was returned by a federal grand jury sitting in Madison, Wisconsin, on June 28, 2023.

Fifteen-year sentence handed down for Northeast D.C. shooting

WASHINGTON – Scotland Alston, 33, of Washington, D.C., was sentenced today before the Honorable Michael O’Keefe of the Superior Court of the District of Columbia to 15 years in prison for a February 2024 shooting, announced U.S. Attorney Matthew M. TULSA, Okla. – U.S. District Judge Gregory K. Frizzell sentenced Katrenia Hartman, 55, of Sand Springs for bank fraud and willfully making and subscribing a false federal income tax return. Judge Frizzell ordered Hartman to be imprisoned for 30 months, followed by five years of supervised release. Additionally, Hartman is ordered to pay the IRS more than $177,000 in restitution and more than $735,000 to the church she defrauded.
