A federal jury has convicted Pierre Marquis Fowler, also known as "Durk," on multiple charges related to drug trafficking offenses. Fowler, a 36-year-old resident of Tarpon Springs, Florida, was found guilty of conspiring to distribute large quantities of fentanyl, methamphetamine, and cocaine. Additionally, he was convicted of possessing these drugs with the intent to distribute, possessing a machinegun in furtherance of drug trafficking crimes, and engaging in illegal monetary transactions. Fowler could face a maximum penalty of life imprisonment, with a sentencing hearing yet to be scheduled.

Testimony and evidence revealed that Pierre Fowler, along with his brother Marcus Jamar Fowler, known as "Drastic," conspired with others to distribute narcotics from a stash location in Tarpon Springs. From 2020 to 2022, witnesses estimated Fowler distributed substantial amounts of fentanyl, methamphetamine, and cocaine.

Search warrants executed at the stash location uncovered eight firearms, including two machineguns, and significant quantities of drugs: 989.1 grams of fentanyl, 715 grams of methamphetamine, and 781 grams of cocaine. Further investigations revealed the shipment of parcels from California to the Middle District of Florida containing thousands of grams of fentanyl and methamphetamine.

Evidence also highlighted Fowler's use of drug trafficking proceeds to make significant purchases, including real estate in Holiday, Florida. Assets forfeited by the government include this property and over $10,000 in cash seized during a search on February 8, 2023.

Marcus Jamar Fowler previously pleaded guilty and is set to be sentenced on April 16, 2025.

The investigation was conducted by several law enforcement agencies, including the Drug Enforcement Administration, the U.S. Secret Service, and local police departments. Assistant United States Attorney Samantha E. Beckman is prosecuting the case, with forfeiture proceedings managed by AUSA James Muench.

The prosecution is part of an Organized Crime Drug Enforcement Task Force (OCDETF) effort, aimed at disrupting and dismantling significant criminal organizations threatening the U.S.
