A St. Cloud resident, Jessica Corin Mangano, 34, has admitted guilt to charges related to child sexual abuse material in Orlando, Florida. Acting United States Attorney Sara C. Sweeney confirmed the plea deal which involves offenses of receipt, distribution, and possession of such materials. Mangano could face a minimum of five years and up to 20 years in federal prison for the distribution and receipt charges, with an additional potential sentence of up to 20 years for possession. The sentencing date remains undetermined.

The plea agreement details that Mangano was involved in distributing and receiving multiple videos containing child sexual abuse content. Furthermore, she was found in possession of hundreds of similar videos involving young children.

The investigation was conducted by the Federal Bureau of Investigation alongside the Osceola County Sheriff’s Office. Assistant United States Attorney Kaley Austin-Aronson is handling the prosecution.

This case forms part of Project Safe Childhood, a nationwide initiative initiated by the Department of Justice in 2006 aimed at tackling child sexual exploitation and abuse. This program coordinates efforts among federal, state, and local agencies to apprehend offenders who exploit children while also working towards identifying and rescuing victims.
