Shane Michael Moser, a 29-year-old resident of Cheyenne, Wyoming, has been sentenced to 140 months in prison followed by four years of supervised release for possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine. According to court documents, the Casper Police Department found Moser unconscious behind the wheel of a running vehicle on May 17. Officers discovered a scale with white residue next to him and subsequently located 223 grams of methamphetamine in the car's center console. During an interview, Moser admitted to distributing approximately nine pounds of methamphetamine over two months. He was indicted on July 18, pleaded guilty on September 30, and U.S. District Court Judge Kelly H. Rankin imposed the sentence on December 20 in Cheyenne. The Division of Criminal Investigation Central Enforcement Team and the Casper Police Department conducted the investigation, while Assistant U.S. Attorney Timothy J. Forwood prosecuted the case.
In another case involving firearm offenses, Justin Keith Noland from Riverton, Wyoming received a sentence of 28 months in prison with three years' supervised release for being a felon in possession of firearms. On June 25, law enforcement executed a search warrant at Noland's residence based on probable cause related to drug trafficking and seized three pistols and additional ammunition from his backpack. As a convicted felon, Noland is prohibited from possessing firearms. He was indicted on July 18 and pleaded guilty on September 25; Chief U.S. District Court Judge Scott W. Skavdahl delivered the sentence on December 18 in Casper. The Division of Criminal Investigations (DCI) and Fremont County Sheriff’s Office investigated this crime with Assistant U.S. Attorney Timothy W. Gist prosecuting.
Additionally, Inocente Rios-Lopez aka Villaverde-Sotelo from Sinaloa Mexico was sentenced to time served (62 days) and will be deported for illegal reentry into the United States after being arrested for driving under the influence by Rock Spring Police Department on October 5. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) were notified following his arrest when Sweetwater County Jail shared his arrest information along with his Mexican voter identification card with ICE agents who confirmed his previous removal from the U.S. in 2001 without applying for reentry permission through fingerprint matches obtained on October 7th . Assistant U.S Attorney Cameron J Cook prosecuted this case while US District Court Judge Kelly H Rankin imposed sentencing Dec17th ,in Cheyenne .
