The final defendant in an Upstate drug trafficking conspiracy, Jeffrey Michael Wilson, aged 54 from Commerce, Georgia, has been sentenced to nearly 20 years in federal prison. The charges against Wilson were for conspiracy to distribute 500 grams or more of methamphetamine. This sentencing follows a prior federal sentence served by Wilson on similar charges.

Further investigation showed that throughout the course of the conspiracy, Wilson was responsible for trafficking more than 89 kilograms of methamphetamine.
United States District Judge Donald C. Coggins sentenced Wilson to 235 months imprisonment followed by 120 months supervised release. Additionally, a forfeiture judgment amounting to $311,000 was ordered.
