United States Attorney Mac Schneider has announced the arraignment of Amire J. Logan in federal court on October 15, 2024. Logan faces charges related to firearm possession following incidents on June 24, 2024, in Fargo and September 24, 2024, in West Fargo. The United States District Court for the District of North Dakota unsealed an indictment against Logan. The charges include two counts of possession of firearms and ammunition by a convicted felon, two counts by a drug user or addict, and one count of possession of a firearm with an obliterated serial number.

The indictment is not proof of guilt; Logan is presumed innocent unless proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt at trial.

This case is part of Project Safe Neighborhoods (PSN), aimed at reducing violent crime and gun violence through community collaboration. PSN emphasizes trust-building within communities, supporting organizations that prevent violence, setting strategic enforcement priorities, and evaluating outcomes.

The investigation involves the Fargo Police Department, West Fargo Police Department, and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives. Assistant United States Attorney Jacob T. Rodenbiker is prosecuting the case.
