ANACORTES CHAMBER OF COMMERCE: Business Spotlight: Fidalgo Bay Resort

Resort

Anacortes Chamber of Commerce issued the following on Oct. 11

Business Spotlight: Fidalgo Bay Resort

Fidalgo Bay Resort is located on a gorgeous piece of land on Fidalgo Island in Anacortes. We offer 139 full hookup RV sites, 8 bay view cabins, and an event center right on the water, with views of Mt. Baker and beautiful downtown Anacortes. Conveniently, The Tommy Thompson walking/biking path travels directly through the middle of our resort, giving guests an opportunity to ride/walk a mile over an old railway trestle over the bay or about 2.5 miles into Anacortes where restaurants and shops are bountiful! The trail is flat and paved, which is perfect for bike riders and walkers alike! Fidalgo Bay is the perfect place to dig for clams, go kayaking or paddle-boarding. This is also a great place for going out on your boat, as we have a small, tide dependent, boat launch that all of our guests have access to use.

Our staff are knowledgeable about our area and are always eager to share their favorite restaurants or special beaches with our visiting travelers. Sitting on our patio watching the sunset will give you sneak peeks at all of our native wildlife. We have eagles, blue herons, otters, seals and so many more! Bird watchers find our property highly populated with varying species; much to their delight!

Our resort is proudly owned by the Samish Indian Nation. They purchased the resort back in December of 2003. Visitors can experience the Native American culture at any time throughout the year between the health fairs, multi-tribal Canoe Journeys, and other events the tribe celebrates throughout the year. Their rich culture really makes Fidalgo Bay Resort a magical place. Come experience it for yourself and RV at the Sea with us!
