Mercer Island home prices fall in the fourth quarter of 2019

The median sale price of a home sold in the fourth quarter of 2019 in Mercer Island fell by $278,000 while total sales decreased by 23.5%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From October through December of 2019, there were 26 homes sold, with a median sale price of $1,400,000 - a 16.6% decrease over the $1,678,000 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 34 homes sold in Mercer Island in the fourth quarter of 2018.

The median sales tax in Mercer Island for the most recent year with available data, 2016, was $8,399, approximately 0.6% of the median home sale price for the fourth quarter of 2019.
