The National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB) has endorsed Michael Baumgartner for election to the United States House of Representatives. Baumgartner is running to represent Washington’s 5th Congressional District.

Patrick Connor, NFIB Washington State Director, expressed support for Baumgartner, stating, “Michael Baumgartner has proven himself to be a strong ally for Washington small businesses.” Connor highlighted Baumgartner's history of advocating for Main Street businesses and noted his perfect NFIB Voting Record during his tenure in the Washington State Senate. He added, “We are confident that Baumgartner will continue to fight for small businesses, and we look forward to working with him in Congress.”

Sharon Sussin, NFIB Senior National Political Director, also voiced her approval. She said, “Michael Baumgartner’s record demonstrates his ongoing commitment to the small business community.” Sussin emphasized that Baumgartner understands the issues important to NFIB members.

The endorsement comes from NFIB FedPAC, the political action committee of NFIB. This committee is funded by voluntary contributions from NFIB members beyond their membership dues. The decisions made by NFIB FedPAC are driven by a grassroots evaluation process managed by its members.
