AAF urges removal of 'woke ideologues' from military in letter to Hegseth

A conservative watchdog organization has issued a list of individuals it labels as "woke ideologues" within the military. This list is intended for Pete Hegseth, the nominee for Department of Defense Secretary, should he navigate through allegations of misconduct and assume leadership at the Pentagon.

The American Accountability Foundation (AAF) addressed a letter to Hegseth, a former co-host of "Fox & Friends," detailing 20 military leaders they believe are overly committed to Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) initiatives. AAF considers these leaders as obstacles to national security.

"The woke takeover of the military is a major threat to our national security," stated Thomas Jones, President of AAF, in his letter to Hegseth dated Tuesday. The letter was obtained by The Post.

Jones further elaborated on the international landscape by saying, "As global tensions rise, with Iran on the march, Russia at war, and China in midst of a massive military buildup, we cannot afford to have a military distracted and demoralized by leftist ideology." He emphasized that those responsible for implementing such policies should be removed from their positions.
