A Tulsa man has been sentenced for multiple burglary charges in Indian Country. U.S. Attorney Clint Johnson announced that Mark Alfred Foreman, 38, received a sentence of 70 months imprisonment followed by three years of supervised release. U.S. District Judge Sara E. Hill also ordered Foreman to pay over $3,200 in restitution.

Foreman admitted to committing seven burglaries on November 16, 2023, between the hours of 5 a.m. and 9:30 a.m., targeting two homes and four vehicles around Tulsa using various destructive methods. His activities came to an end when he was spotted by Tulsa Police officers after his final break-in attempt. A pursuit ensued, ending with Foreman crashing into a fence and fleeing on foot before being apprehended by a K-9 officer.

During these incidents, Foreman's girlfriend assisted him and was later detained and prosecuted by the Tulsa County District Attorney’s office for her involvement.

Foreman is identified as a citizen of Sac and Fox Nation and will remain in custody until his transfer to the U.S. Bureau of Prisons.

The investigation was conducted by the Tulsa Police Department, with Assistant U.S. Attorney Stephen Flynn prosecuting the case.

This case falls under Project Safe Neighborhoods (PSN), an initiative aimed at reducing violent crime and gun violence through collaboration between law enforcement agencies and communities. The program emphasizes trust-building within communities, support for community-based violence prevention organizations, strategic enforcement priorities, and results measurement as part of its crime reduction strategy launched on May 26, 2021.
