Nadine Kay Niedo, also known as Vasquez, a 41-year-old resident of Fort Washakie, Wyoming, has been sentenced to six months in prison followed by three years of supervised release for distributing methamphetamine. Court documents reveal that in December 2023, agents from the Wyoming Division of Criminal Investigation conducted a controlled purchase of 3.4 grams of methamphetamine from Vasquez for $120 at a store parking lot in Fort Washakie. She was indicted on May 16 and pleaded guilty on August 14. U.S. District Court Judge Alan B. Johnson delivered the sentence on November 12 in Cheyenne. The case was investigated by DCI and prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorney Timothy W. Gist.

In another case, Enik Dean Jenkins, also known as Lawrence Jenkins, aged 32 and from Fort Washakie, Wyoming, received a sentence of one year and one day in federal prison with three years of supervised release for assault with a dangerous weapon. According to court documents, the BIA Wind River Police Department and FBI responded to an incident at Slattery Trailer Courts in St. Stephens where Jenkins allegedly hit the victim with a rock when she attempted to leave his residence. Although Jenkins initially denied involvement, blood spatter on his clothing matched the victim's blood through testing. He was indicted on May 17, 2023, pleaded guilty on January 10, and was sentenced by U.S. District Court Judge Alan B. Johnson on November 13 in Cheyenne. The investigation was carried out by the BIA Wind River Police Department and FBI while Assistant U.S. Attorney Michael J. Elmore prosecuted the case.

Stirling Lee Foster, a 25-year-old from Casper, Wyoming, has been sentenced to 46 months in prison followed by three years of supervised release for possessing an unregistered firearm. The defendant’s mother contacted police on May 10, 2023, reporting drug activity at her home where officers discovered controlled substances and a modified shotgun in Foster’s bedroom with an illegible serial number due to filing down. Identified as a .410 shotgun not registered under the National Firearms Act, marijuana was also found during the search. Foster was indicted on November 15, 2023; he pleaded guilty on August 22 and received his sentence from U.S. District Court Judge Kelly H. Rankin on November 12 in Cheyenne after investigations by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives along with Casper Police Department were concluded under prosecution by Assistant U.S Attorney Michael J Elmore.
