Carl Thomas Mullins, also known as "TJ Mullins," has been sentenced to two years in prison for the theft of firearms from a federal firearms licensee. The 24-year-old resident of Isaban will also serve three years of supervised release following his prison term.
Court documents and statements reveal that on September 10, 2021, Mullins broke into a business in Wyoming County and stole several firearms. These included a Colt model M4 carbine 5.56mm rifle, a Black Aces model Pro Series M 12-gauge shotgun, and a Silver Eagle model RZ17TAC 12-gauge shotgun. Mullins attempted to sell or trade these firearms for drugs. While the rifle was eventually recovered, the two shotguns have not been found.
United States Attorney Will Thompson announced the sentencing and praised the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) for their investigative efforts.
The sentence was imposed by Chief United States District Judge Frank W. Volk. Assistant United States Attorneys Alexander A. Redmon and Ryan Blackwell handled the prosecution.
