Talon D. Feucht, a 30-year-old resident of New Martinsville, West Virginia, has pled guilty to the unlawful possession of a firearm. The incident unfolded when Moundsville Police arrested Feucht on an outstanding warrant related to an entering without breaking charge in Marshall County.

During the arrest process, Feucht confessed to having a firearm in his bag. A subsequent search led to the discovery and seizure of a .38 caliber firearm along with ammunition. Due to two prior felony theft convictions, Feucht is legally prohibited from possessing firearms.

Feucht could face up to 15 years in prison for this offense. The final sentence will be determined by a federal district court judge after reviewing the U.S. Sentencing Guidelines and other statutory considerations.

Assistant U.S. Attorney Clayton Reid is handling the prosecution for this case on behalf of the government. The investigation was conducted by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives alongside the Moundsville Police Department.

The proceedings were overseen by U.S. Magistrate Judge James P. Mazzone.
