The scholarship program aims to support students who have shown outstanding achievements in education-based athletics. It recognizes those who demonstrate resilience, character, and community dedication.

In addition to the two top scholarships, eight other students received $1,000 scholarships. The recipients are Brooke Berens from Crosspoint Christian, Greta Leonard from Tahoma, Brayden Meyer from Okanogan, Lucas Mortensen from West Valley (Spokane), Kaiyah Sandridge from Onalaska, Carson Siadal from Meridian, Cienna Smith from Cle Elum-Roslyn, and Lucinda Weaver from College Place.

Executive Director Mick Hoffman said: “The students recognized through the Smart Choices Scholarship program represent the very best of what education-based athletics can offer. This year’s recipients have demonstrated immense resilience, strong character, and dedication to their communities. We’re excited to see how they carry these qualities toward their future goals.”

The annual scholarship continues to highlight student excellence in academics as well as extracurricular activities across Washington.
