The fourth quarter of 2025 brought in $89 million in individual income tax revenue for Washington, a 1,171.4% increase from the third quarter of 2025, according to the U.S. Census Bureau’s Quarterly Summary of State and Local Taxes.
Dana Lee Scott Jr., from Waterloo, Iowa, has been sentenced to over one year in federal prison for possessing a firearm as a felon. The sentencing follows surveillance evidence presented by local police officers. The Justice Department prosecuted this case under Operation Take Back America.
Federal prosecutors have charged four individuals following an alleged attempt to rob undercover agents during an operation investigating firearms trafficking near Chicago on June 12. Two suspects face attempted robbery charges after being shot by responding agents; another is accused of assaulting police while fleeing; one faces firearm trafficking charges.
