The Washington women’s golf team finished the opening round of the Big Ten Women’s Golf Championship on Apr. 24 tied for 10th place at Oakmont Country Club in Glendale, California, with a team score of 15-over par.

The result marks the start of conference championship play for the Huskies, who are competing against other top teams in pursuit of the title. The performance in this first round sets the stage for subsequent rounds and will influence their overall standing in the tournament.

Amber Li and Carmen Lim led Washington with two-over-par rounds each, placing them tied for 22nd individually after eighteen holes. Li scored a front nine of 38 before making four birdies on holes ten, twelve, fourteen, and sixteen to finish her back nine at four-under-par.
