The Washington Huskies men’s baseball team will finish their four-game road swing on Tuesday, April 27, with a matchup against Eastern Michigan. This game marks only the second time these two teams have faced each other in program history.
The contest is scheduled to begin at 9:05 a.m. Pacific Time and will be broadcast on ESPN+, with live statistics available online. The Huskies recently secured a win over Michigan, taking the series finale 7-5, and are coming off an 8-1 neutral site victory over Portland last week.
Jackson Hotchkiss has been leading the team’s offense after returning from injury, setting a new career high with his 14th home run of the season and ranking among NCAA leaders in several categories. The pitching staff has also performed well nationally in strikeout-to-walk ratio and other key metrics.
Eddie Smith is serving his second season as head coach of Washington’s baseball program after being named to the position on July 9, 2024. Smith previously coached at Utah Valley before joining Washington.
Following Tuesday’s game against Eastern Michigan—which follows their only previous meeting in 1980—the Huskies will return home for a three-game series against Oregon at Husky Ballpark.
