Two foreign nationals who returned to the United States after being deported have been sentenced to six months in federal prison, according to First Assistant United States Attorney Charles Neil Floyd. The two men, Alberto Figeroa-Luque, 45, a Mexican national, and Fredy Ottoniel Alonzo Carcamo, 54, a Guatemalan national, were taken into federal custody after arrests on state charges.

Judge Tana Lin presided over the cases and noted that both individuals had repeatedly entered the U.S. without authorization.

“Those here illegally who are breaking our laws and making our communities unsafe remain a priority for our office,” said First Assistant U.S. Attorney Floyd. “While many we arrest are removed before we secure convictions, here are two examples of criminal aliens arrested based on the administration’s priorities. One of these defendants was arrested illegally carrying a firearm and possessing narcotics, the other is a sex offender who failed to register and was caught peeping into a neighbor’s window.  Both had been previously deported but returned and broke the law again.”

Records show that Figeroa-Luque was first ordered removed to Mexico in 2012 and has since been deported four more times. He came under federal scrutiny when Marysville Police arrested him for knowingly using a controlled substance in public. During the arrest, police found cocaine, fentanyl, and a semi-automatic handgun with a loaded magazine in his backpack. Following a judicial warrant, he was transferred from state to federal custody. In December 2025, Figeroa-Luque pleaded guilty to Reentry of a Removed Alien.

Alonzo Carcamo was convicted of Attempted Voyeurism in King County Superior Court in February 2007 and ordered deported later that year; however, removal did not take place at that time. In February 2020 he was convicted again for First-Degree Voyeurism after being caught peering through blinds at residents early in the morning. He was removed to Guatemala in July 2021 but re-entered unlawfully via Arizona in September 2021 and was removed again in February 2022. In November 2025 he was arrested for failing to register as a sex offender; following another judicial warrant he was transferred to federal custody and pleaded guilty in December 2025 to Reentry of a Removed Alien.

Homeland Security Investigations led both cases.

Special Assistant United States Attorneys Jordan Steveson and Christine Caceres prosecuted these cases.
