Men more prevalent than women in the state of Washington in 2021

Of the 7,617,364 people living in the state of Washington in 2021, 49.7% (3,785,400) were women and 50.3% (3,831,964) were men, according to U.S. Census Bureau data obtained by Evergreen Reporter.

Data showed the average age for men in the state of Washington in 2021 was 37 years, lower than the national average of 38 for men. Meanwhile, the state of Washington's female population stands at an average age of 39 years, placing them lower than the US average of 40.

According to census data, men aged 18 and over outnumbered women in the same age group by 97,972, totaling 2,428,552 individuals. Meanwhile, in the 65 and over group, there were 542,528 men and 635,244 women.
