April 2020: Seattle experienced a 9.7% increase in median home prices

The median sale price of a home sold in April 2020 in Seattle rose by $75,000 while total sales decreased by 44.5%, according to BlockShopper.com.

In April 2020, there were 258 homes sold, with a median sale price of $850,000 - a 9.7% increase over the $775,000 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 465 homes sold in Seattle in April 2019.

The median sales tax in Seattle for the most recent year with available data, 2016, was $4,956, approximately 0.6% of the median home sale price for April 2020.
