Home prices increased in Seattle during the second quarter of 2020

The median sale price of a home sold in the second quarter of 2020 in Seattle rose by $45,000 while total sales decreased by 22.4%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From April through June of 2020, there were 1,070 homes sold, with a median sale price of $820,000 - a 5.8% increase over the $775,000 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 1,378 homes sold in Seattle in the second quarter of 2019.

The median sales tax in Seattle for the most recent year with available data, 2016, was $4,956, approximately 0.6% of the median home sale price for the second quarter of 2020.
