The second quarter of 2020: Algona experienced a 1.3% drop in median home prices

The median sale price of a home sold in the second quarter of 2020 in Algona fell by $5,000 while total sales remained unchanged with seven homes sold, according to BlockShopper.com.

From April through June of 2020, there were seven homes sold, with a median sale price of $370,000 - a 1.3% decrease over the $375,000 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were seven homes sold in Algona in the second quarter of 2019, as well.

The median sales tax in Algona for the most recent year with available data, 2016, was $2,716, approximately 0.7% of the median home sale price for the second quarter of 2020.
