The COVID-19 pandemic has had profound impacts on business and our economy. Join the Burlington Chamber of Commerce and TD Canada Trust Economist, Omar Abdelrahman, to learn about the impacts of COVID-19 on national, provincial and local economic trends, as well as what's in store beyond the pandemic.
Omar joined the TD Economics team in 2018. His primary responsibilities include analyzing and forecasting Canada's regional economies and commodity markets. He regularly contributes to a wide variety of TD Economics publications covering the overall Canadian economy, provincial economies, provincial budgets, Canada's industries, and commodities and oil markets.
Omar began his career at the Bank of Canada's Financial Stability Department and holds a Master of Financial Economics degree from the University of Toronto and a BAH degree in Economics from Queen's University.
