Seattle home prices fall in 2019

The median sale price of a home sold in 2019 in Seattle fell by $13,250 while total sales increased by 14.2%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From January through December of 2019, there were 3,614 homes sold, with a median sale price of $765,000 - a 1.7% decrease over the $778,250 median sale price for the previous year. There were 3,164 homes sold in Seattle in 2018.

The median sales tax in Seattle for the most recent year with available data, 2016, was $4,956, approximately 0.6% of the median home sale price for 2019.
