U.S. Representative Suzan DelBene (WA-1) issued the following announcement on July 2
Today, Congresswoman Suzan DelBene (WA-01) announced that 16 high school graduates from Washington’s First Congressional District have accepted appointments to four U.S. military service academies.
Every year, DelBene has the privilege of nominating a limited number of students to the Air Force Academy, Naval Academy, Military Academy, and Merchant Marine Academy.
“Serving at a U.S. military academy is an honor that only the best and brightest students get to experience. I’m proud to see 16 students from the First Congressional District achieve such a highly competitive accomplishment,” DelBene said. “I have no doubt they will represent our community with dignity and grace while joining the ranks of our country’s next generation of military leaders. Congratulations on a job well done!”
