2. Meeting the Needs
Local businesses are continuing to come up with new ways to cope with the restrictions put in place to combat COVID-19.
Minuteman Press Bellevue is now providing curbside and pickup to reduce contact and meeting social distancing requirements
Central Bar + Restaurant offers take-out options, and, per a recent announcement from the Washington State Liquor Board, you can now include your favorite beer or wine with your order.
Though their 31st floor view cannot currently be enjoyed, Ascend Prime Steak & Sushiis offering chef-prepared dinners for pickup. Kids meals, bottles of wine, and chef-driven recipe kits are available as well.

3. CARES Act Update
The Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act allocated $350 billion to help small businesses keep workers employed amid the pandemic and economic downturn. The administration soon will release more details including the list of lenders offering loans under the program. In the meantime, the U.S. Chamber of Commerce has issued this guide to help small businesses and self-employed individuals prepare to file for a loan.
4. City Funding Boost
The City of Bellevue Wednesday announced that it’s increasing its contract with five human service agencies by $90,000 each for a total of $450,000. The move is aimed at providing critical emergency financial assistance to the community during the ongoing COVID-19 health crisis.
5. Social Distancing, Not Social Isolation
With social distancing measures in place, face-to-face interaction is discouraged, however, there are many ways to stay connected with friends and family. Check in with family by video call instead of text, host online happy hours with your friends, or reach out to others in your community via social media platforms.
