Three indicted for alleged Lacey Act violations related to big game hunting

A federal grand jury in Pocatello indicted three individuals for conspiracy and violations of the Lacey Act. Chad Michael Kulow, Andrea May Major, both 44 from Kuna, Idaho, and LaVoy Linton Eborn, 47 from Paris, Idaho, face charges related to illegal big game outfitting and guiding activities.

Virginia man convicted for actions during Jan. 6 Capitol breach

A Virginia resident has been convicted of both felony and misdemeanor charges for his involvement in the January 6, 2021, breach of the U.S. Capitol. Jay Matthew Kenyon, aged 47 from Harrisonburg, Virginia, was found guilty on October 1, 2024, in the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia. The charges include civil disorder as a felony and four misdemeanors such as entering restricted grounds and disorderly conduct.

Federal firearms licensees plead guilty to conspiracy charges

The United States Attorney’s Office for the District of Colorado has announced that two co-owners of Modern Arms & Optics LLC, a federal firearms licensee, have pled guilty to conspiring to defraud the United States. Campbell Slayden, 26, of Denver, entered his plea on July 25, 2024, admitting to one count of conspiracy to defraud the United States and one count of possession of an unregistered firearm. Anthony Gallegos, also 26 and from Denver, pled guilty on September 23, 2024, to one count of conspiracy to defraud the United States.

Florida man convicted for role in Jan. 6 Capitol breach

A Florida man has been found guilty of felony destruction of government property and other charges for his actions during the January 6, 2021 breach of the U.S. Capitol. The incident disrupted a joint session of Congress that was convened to count electoral votes from the 2020 presidential election.
