Seattle University women’s rowing team will travel to Northern California for a duel against Santa Clara on Saturday, April 24, according to an announcement from the university.

The upcoming race is significant as it marks the second meeting between the two programs in just two weeks. Both teams previously competed at the Oregon State Invite and Pilots Invite.

The Redhawks plan to compete with three boats: their varsity eight, junior varsity eight, and varsity four. During their last outing at the Pilots Invite, Seattle University showed improvement across all three boats and secured a third place finish with its varsity four.

After this weekend’s competition at Lexington Reservoir in Los Gatos, Seattle U will return home to Washington for opening day before heading back to Northern California for its first ever conference championship race.

The series of competitions represents a key stretch in Seattle University’s season as they prepare for their inaugural appearance at a conference championship event.
