Corderrius Terrelle McShane, a 38-year-old resident of Pensacola, Florida, has pleaded guilty in federal court to several charges related to fentanyl distribution and firearm possession. The charges include distribution of more than 40 grams of fentanyl, possession with intent to distribute more than 40 grams of fentanyl, possession of a firearm in furtherance of a drug trafficking offense, and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

Heekin, United States Attorney for the Northern District of Florida, announced the plea. “I applaud the excellent work of the Escambia County Sheriff’s Office and our federal ATF and DEA agents to make our community safer by getting this dangerous individual off the streets. My office remains fully committed to fulfilling the promise made by President Donald J. Trump and Attorney General Pam Bondi to Take Back America by targeting drug traffickers like this defendant with the full force of the law,” Heekin said.
According to court documents, McShane distributed 55.6 grams of fentanyl in November 2024. In that same month, law enforcement stopped his vehicle and found over 230 grams of fentanyl along with a loaded firearm. McShane has previous felony convictions including possession of a weapon or ammunition by a convicted felon, resisting law enforcement with violence, possession of cocaine, and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
McShane could face up to life in prison as well as lifetime supervision after release.
The investigation was conducted jointly by the Escambia County Sheriff’s Office, the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives (ATF), and the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA). Assistant United States Attorney Jessica S. Etherton is prosecuting the case.
Sentencing is set for December 4, 2025 at 10:00am at the United States Courthouse in Pensacola before United States District Judge T. Kent Wetherell II.
This prosecution is part of Operation Take Back America (https://www.justice.gov/dag/media/1393746/dl?inline), an initiative led by the Department of Justice aimed at addressing illegal immigration, dismantling cartels and transnational criminal organizations (TCOs), and reducing violent crime nationwide. The program brings together resources from initiatives such as Organized Crime Drug Enforcement Task Forces (OCDETFs) and Project Safe Neighborhood (PSN).
