The National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB) has launched new radio and digital advertisements in Washington’s 4th District, expressing appreciation for Representative Dan Newhouse’s support of the permanent 20% Small Business Tax Deduction.

This campaign is part of NFIB’s ongoing advocacy to maintain the deduction, which was initially introduced through the 2017 Tax Cuts and Jobs Act. The deduction enables small business owners to deduct up to 20% of their qualified business income, a measure intended to help smaller firms compete with larger corporations.

“Making the 20% Small Business Tax Deduction permanent is a big win for Main Street,” said NFIB Washington State Director Patrick Connor. “By voting to protect this tax relief, Representative Dan Newhouse has given small business owners in Washington the certainty they need to grow their operations, continue creating jobs, and give back to their communities. NFIB appreciates his leadership in standing up for small businesses in our state.”

The advertisements highlight Representative Newhouse’s vote as an effort that prevents what NFIB describes as a significant tax increase on small business owners.
