Jeffery Davis has been selected for inclusion in Marquis Who’s Who, according to a May 15 announcement. Davis, owner of Davis Diesel Automotive in Spokane Valley, Washington, has worked in the automotive industry for more than forty years.
The recognition highlights his longstanding leadership and technical expertise. Marquis Who’s Who selects individuals based on current reference value, considering factors such as position, accomplishments, visibility, and prominence.
Since founding his business in 1984, Davis has overseen all aspects of operations at Davis Diesel Automotive. He manages payroll, business agreements beyond sales transactions, advertising initiatives, website development and information technology infrastructure. He also supervises a team that includes two sales staff and two technicians.
Davis is known for restoring special interest vehicles for local collectors and preparing renovation projects for major events like Barrett-Jackson auctions. He said he considers surviving decades of industry changes among his most notable achievements but regards his family as his greatest legacy.
His career began as a sheet metal shop intern at Kenworth Motor Truck factory while attending college in Spokane. Before starting his own company, he was lead technician at Cunningham Sand and Gravel from 1978 to 1984. His background also includes working with heavy equipment during his teenage years at his father’s construction company along the Oregon coast.
Davis is an active member of the Northwest Auto Care Alliance and holds certifications through Automotive Service Excellence (ASE). He credits much of the company’s stability to the partnership with his wife after she became co-owner following twenty years working in another field. Their grandson now leads the team at Davis Diesel Automotive.
In addition to professional pursuits, Davis serves on the board of Compass International and supports widows within his community. Looking ahead, he plans to continue operating the business while preparing future leadership succession.
