Brian Nicholas Haugen has been selected for inclusion in Marquis Who’s Who, according to a May 15 announcement. Haugen currently serves as Technical Project Manager at Scale Technology Group Inc., where he oversees operations and manages projects from start to finish.
The recognition highlights Haugen’s career in information technology and technical project management. Marquis Who’s Who said individuals are chosen based on factors such as position, accomplishments, visibility, and prominence within their field.
Haugen began his current role at Scale Technology Group Inc. in 2023. He is responsible for ensuring engineering teams meet technical requirements, tracking project progress, coordinating meetings, and developing Gantt charts for large-scale initiatives. His experience includes working with multinational organizations on network and systems administration as well as consulting on network configurations.
Previously, from 2021 to 2023, Haugen was a technical project manager at C3 Technology Advisors where he managed diverse technology projects and coordinated cross-functional teams. Between 2017 and 2021 he worked at Nucraft Furniture as a network administrator after starting there as an intern. Earlier roles included providing IT support at Grand Rapids Community College between 2014 and 2017.
Haugen holds several academic credentials including a Bachelor of Science in Computer Information Technology Systems Administration and Security from Ferris State University (summa cum laude) and an Associate of Applied Arts in Network and System Administration from Grand Rapids Community College. He also possesses multiple industry certifications such as CompTIA Network+, CompTIA Cloud+, Cisco Introduction to Cybersecurity certification, Juniper Networks accreditations, American Red Cross first aid certifications, among others.
Beyond his professional work, Haugen has volunteered by providing pro bono computer repair services since graduating high school in Hudsonville in 2014. He has also supported nonprofit organizations by designing websites for advocacy groups addressing domestic violence issues during his high school years.
Haugen said Mrs. Joy Essenburg of Hudsonville High School was a key mentor who recognized his passion for community service during his formative years: “Her mentorship was pivotal during my formative years.” He has received several awards including two Tutor of the Year Awards from Grand Rapids Community College (one of only two people honored consecutively) and the Citizenship Award from Hudsonville High School.
