Gonzaga women’s rowing earned several top-three finishes at the West Coast Conference Championships on May 16 at Lake Natoma. The team placed in the top three in three of four grand finals, and three athletes received All-WCC honors.

The results are significant for Gonzaga, as they reflect consistent performance across multiple events during a major conference competition. Recognition for individual athletes also highlights their contributions throughout the season.

Jenna Kleckler, Leah Manzo-McCottry, and Lula Macey were named to the All-WCC Team for their efforts both during the season and at the championship event. In racing action, Gonzaga started with a third-place finish in the WCC II Four Grand Final with a time of 7:55.229, staying ahead of San Diego, Portland, and Saint Mary’s through steady pacing.

The Bulldogs repeated this result in both the WCC I Four Grand Final (7:48.102) and WCC II Eight Grand Final (7:13.380), maintaining strong positions against other conference teams. In their final race—the WCC I Eight Grand Final—Gonzaga finished fourth with a time of 6:58.317 after keeping pace with Washington State through much of the race before holding off Sacramento State late.

Oregon State led overall team scoring with 60 points, followed by Washington State (51), Gonzaga (45), San Diego (44), Saint Mary’s (35), Sacramento State (30), Portland (29), Creighton (14), Santa Clara (14), and Seattle U (8).

The championship capped another competitive season for Gonzaga’s program as they continue to deliver solid performances within their conference.
