Eastern Washington University Athletics announced on Apr. 24 that 49 of its student-athletes have been named to the Big Sky Conference 2026 Winter All-Academic Team.

The recognition highlights academic achievement among student-athletes across the conference, which includes ten member institutions. Weber State led with the most selections at 80, while Eastern Washington contributed a significant number of honorees.

To earn a spot on the All-Academic Team, athletes must participate in at least half of their team’s competitions, maintain a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.2 on a four-point scale, and complete one academic term at their current institution within the Big Sky Conference. Indoor track and field athletes can also qualify by competing in the conference championship.

Women’s track and field had the highest representation for Eastern with 17 selections, followed by men’s track and field with 12. Both men’s and women’s basketball teams each had ten honorees included in this year’s list.

Among those recognized from Eastern Washington, seventeen student-athletes achieved a perfect cumulative GPA of 4.0, with women’s track and field accounting for ten of these marks. Across all conference schools, seventy-eight student-athletes posted perfect GPAs.

The department as a whole reported a cumulative GPA of 3.35 during the winter quarter—marking its fifty-sixth consecutive quarter above a cumulative GPA of 3.0.
