Geiontay Marshant Hoskins, 27, of Columbus, Ohio, received a sentence of 121 months in federal prison for selling methamphetamine near Overbrook Playground in Wheeling, West Virginia. The sentencing took place in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of West Virginia.
Court documents and statements revealed that Hoskins, who was also known by the names “G” and “Cuddy,” conducted drug sales within 1,000 feet of a playground. Law enforcement searched his motel room in Elm Grove and seized 150 grams of methamphetamine along with 56 grams of fentanyl. During a subsequent traffic stop on Hoskins’ vehicle, authorities recovered nearly $5,000 and the key to his motel room.
The prosecution was led by Assistant U.S. Attorney Carly Nogay. The investigation involved several agencies: the Ohio Valley Drug Task Force (a HIDTA-funded initiative), the West Virginia State Police, the Ohio County Sheriff’s Office, and the Wheeling Police Department.
U.S. District Judge John Preston Bailey presided over the case.
