Berkley Ledesma has earned All-Big Sky Honorable Mention, Eastern Washington announced on Apr. 19. This is the first such award for Ledesma at Eastern Washington as she finishes her second season with the team.
The recognition follows a strong showing at the Bobcat Desert Classic, where Ledesma achieved her first career top-five finish. She shot two under par (214) in Goodyear, Arizona, and closed with a third-round score of 70 to secure second place among all competitors. During this tournament at the Golf Club of Estrella, she set personal bests in both her 54-hole and 36-hole scores. Ledesma also recorded twelve birdies and averaged just under four strokes on par fours while playing even on par threes.
For her efforts at the Desert Classic, Ledesma was named Big Sky Golfer of the Week on April 16. Throughout this season, she has been a consistent performer for Eastern Washington’s women’s golf team—finishing in the top ten three times and securing four top-20 placements overall. Her other notable results include seventh place at the SoCal Spring Invitational and ninth place at the Sun Mountain Intercollegiate.
Ledesma has played fifteen rounds during the current season, averaging just over seventy-three strokes per round.
Looking ahead, Eastern Washington is preparing for its opening round of the Big Sky Conference Championships starting tomorrow (April 20) at Wigwam Golf Course in Litchfield Park, Arizona. The championships will continue through Wednesday (April 22), with one round scheduled each day.
